Bike-routes.org Beta now supports the posting of a GPX file. The advantage to this approach is that the file is not sent to the server. It could be, but currently isn't. That is a planned option that will include:

• stripping the file to the bare essentials (latitude and ongitude) to plot
• stripping out extra trackpoints to limit the size to a predefined limit (default will likely be 200)
• option to save on server
• furnishing geocoding info for the file
